New Launcher
Hi guys, this announcement is to tell you that the launcher now works with a new, faster and more powerful server to improve file download speed.
To get the "new launcher" working from now on, and implement the migration from the old to the new server, follow these instructions:
1. Run Installer.exe
2. Place launch.ins inside the data folder located in the install directory (default is C:\Users[username]\AppData\Roaming\Champion of Realms\data) 3. Start CoR Launcher
4. Hit Check for Updates
5. Wait for patch to finish
6. Enjoy
Those are instructions for new users. Existing users only need to do 2-6.
This will make it easier to speed up the changeover process and get the best out of the new server!

The Launcher isn't patching the game for me. I click Check for Updates and it doesn't seam to do anything. If I check Task Manager the patch program is running, but I've left it running for an hour and nothing seems to be happening
I got stuck at step 4, I press check for updates but it does nothing and when I press start it says CoR.exe not found
i dont understand number 2 at the launcher guide pls i need help
You need to copy the launch.ins file into the folder called data where you installed the launcher to.
is the game updating on its own or how does it work bcs i rlly want to play the updates. i have no idea how that works. or do i always have to download the game again?
The launcher downloads updates whenever you hit check for updates. That way you don't have to download the zip every time.
Do I have to use the launcher for any future updates? No matter how I install the launcher or follow the readme file or your above list I can't get the game to launch even on a clean install of the game it won't launch or update the game tried the Veify files as well and the same result.
The launcher isn't required no. You can use Itch or the zip files.
The game won't launch until after the patch is complete as the installer only contains the launcher, not the full game. All you need to do is run the installer, uncheck the box at the end, copy the ins file into data, run launcher, hit check for updates. That should open the patch window to install the game.
I use Linux inside the itch.io app. Do I still need to do this in equivalent file location or even need the custom launcher? The .sh worked and it shows the most current game version.
The launcher is a separate option to using the zip installs. You don't need to use the launcher. The benefit is you get the uncompressed version as Itch as a 4gh limit, so the version Itch installs is compressed. Or you can download the uncompressed zips from Patreon(public links)
thanks for the clarification. maybe Ill try running PC version in Lutirs (Wine) for fun. The itch app is just easier but its a long way from being Steam at this point.
Users have used the launcher under wine successfully. Your best bet would be to use the launcher for patching but manually run the sh script for native performance(since windows and Linux use the same build, only how renpy is called is different)
